Tiger Den Service Project - Socks to Support Homelessness

Posted on Nov 27 2021 - 10:47pm

Good afternoon Pack 281 members,

The Tiger Den is requesting your participation in a service project to support those experiencing homelessness. We will be hosting a sock drive during the December 8th den meeting and also at the Holiday caroling event on the 10th. Please donate a new package of socks and bring to the den meetings on 12/8 or the Holiday Caroling on 12/10. If you are able to participate it will be a great support to our community and will be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you and looking forward to seeing everyone at our next den meeting. And as always, wishing you well.

See's Candy Fundraiser

Posted on Nov 22 2021 - 9:20pm
Just a reminder that we have just under 2 weeks to sell See's candy for those interested. If you are interested, please let me know ASAP so I can add you to the yumraising site before I go on vacation next week. I will be gone from this Sunday 11/28 through Friday 12/3, which is the last day of sales. So you will have to be added by 11/27 or I can't guarantee I will have time to add you. If you think you might want to sell, it's best to let me know now, so I can add you and then worse case, you don't end up selling anything.
Also, for those who have asked about the shipping, the rates are below and the orders are shipping pretty quickly so far. If you have people interested with a  small order and they don't want to pay shipping, just collect the money from them and place one large order for yourself with their order so that you meet the minimum for free shipping and then just deliver to them if they are local.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs are dependent on the value of the candy that has been ordered by your supporter. Since gift cards ship free of charge, they are not combined with candy values to qualify for tiered shipping promotions. Please refer to the shipping rate table below:

Important Information Update

Posted on Nov 13 2021 - 9:06pm
Happy Saturday Pack 281 Families!
I hope everyone had a fun time at our combined den meeting the other night. We had such a great turnout and I would like to thank our  leaders once again for their contributions. :) Make sure your kiddos are practicing their Bobcat requirements and be sure to let your den leader know once they are ready to share their progress.
Here are some important events and information I would like to share with you. I know it's long, but there is a lot of important information in here :)
  1. Pack 281 Leaders - I would like to welcome and thank all of our Pack Leaders for volunteering to take on some very important roles within our pack. We couldn't do this without you!
    1. Kelly Boutwell - Cubmaster
    2. Katie Wisheropp - Asst. Cubmaster
    3. Sarah Hodges - Chartered Organization Rep
    4. Michelle Haley - Committee Chair / Treasurer / Wolf Den Leader
    5. Elizabeth Steiner - Advancement Chair
    6. Terri Palomba - Events Chair / Wolf Den Leader
    7. Casey Meredith - Lion Den Leader
    8. Melissa Crawford - Tiger Den Leader
    9. John Lee - Tiger Asst Den Leader
    10. Lucy Kim - Tiger Asst Den Leader
    11. Erica Hung - Wolf Den Leader
    12. Heather Robinson - Bear Den Leader
    13. Stacy Ammer - Bear Asst Den Leader
    14. Mario Acevedo - Webelos II Den Leader
    15. David Orange - Webelos II Asst Den Leader
    16. Nicky Belt – Webelos II Den Chief

2. See's Candy Fundraiser - At our last leader/parent meeting we talked about potential fundraising ideas and while we had a lot of good options for the future, I thought since we had a large enough group now, we could attempt the See's candy winter fundraiser again. I was initially concerned about not meeting the sales quota to receive profits; however, See's now has online fundraising (Yumraising) which doesn't require any quotas. Since See's almost sells itself, especially around the holidays, this should be an easy way for our pack to earn a few dollars.
